A Little Bit About the Guy Behind the Hat
Hi, I’m Ray — a passionate designer and the founder of Coelacanth Studio, currently based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
I embarked on my design journey after completing my studies at Keio University in Japan. Although I spent much of my youth in Kitchener, Ontario, I returned to Japan to begin my career, honing my craft as a web designer in Tokyo. My pursuit of growth and deeper expertise eventually brought me back to Canada, where I expanded my skills in design and web development at BCIT in Vancouver.
Throughout my career, I have leveraged my skills in graphic design, branding, UX/UI design, and front-end web development. I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse companies, including digital creative agencies, an educational consulting firm, and a marketing solutions agency for financial advisors.
My approach to design revolves around human-centred thinking and critical analysis. I excel in conceptualizing ideas that resonate with users, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience.
